The Fertility Gemstones: What to Wear

Throughout thousands of years of history, people from all over the world have called on the healing powers of certain gemstones and crystals. From the earliest days of biblical times, to ancient civilizations, from the mysteries of the Chinese culture to the secrets of Native American healing, certain gemstones and crystals have emerged as playing a role in helping the body over specific ailments.

In terms of fertility and reproductive health several gemstones have emerged as having an overwhelmingly good effect.

This reddish-orange stone is a form of Chalcedony,
which is a type of mineral quartz. Carnelian is found all
over the world but the major discoveries have been in India,
Brazil, Uruguay and Japan. In the US, carnelian deposits have
been found in Texas, Maryland, Florida, Colorado
and North Carolina.

Carnelian gemstones can range in color from a bright, clear
rust-red to a dark orange brown, to a light peach tone and it
has a translucency that gives jewelry made from this
stone a special glow. Wearing them close to the face can
often cause the complexion to take on a “healthy” glow as well.
Fertility -related properties found in carnelian are said to:

Coral is a form of the mineral calcium carbonate, and it exists
primarily in warm sea water, where there is sufficient light. It

Fish frequently rest or take refuge on the branches of coral,
(it houses 1/3 or all marine fish) and they in turn leave behind
nutrients that further help the coral to become enriched with
natural elements, and grow stronger and faster.   Currently two
thirds of world’s supply of coral comes waters in the Philippines,
Indonesia, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea and the

natural red coral, which has been overharvested and is now more
difficult to obtain, is found only in the Mediterranean Sea

reflect the light of the moon - is actually derived from
a mineral known as albite. It is from the family of stones
known as “feldspar”. It has an opalescent translucent
quality known as “adularescence” and it can range in
color from clear to white, grey, blue, pink, peach, green,
yellow or brown.   Moonstone is the most valuable form of
feldspar and is found primarily in Brazil, Germany, India,
Mexico, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and some parts of the United States.
In India, moonstone is considered to be a sacred stone and
believed to bring good fortune to those who wear it.

pink hue which comes from the mineral content of titanium.
It is mined in Brazil, Switzerland, Madagascar, India, Germany,
Scotland, Spain, and Canada and in the United States, in Maine,
California, South Dakota, Colorado, and Arkansas.
